How to open a market trade in Weltrade 2.0 app

Learn how to open a market trade in Weltrade 2.0: find an instrument, choose Long or Short, set volume, Stop loss and Take profit, and send your order.

A market trade opens immediately at the current market price. In Weltrade 2.0, you can open one from the Trade tab in a few taps. This guide shows how to find an instrument, set up your order, and send it, and what to do if the order isn't opened.

Before you begin, make sure:

  • A trading account is selected and connected. If it isn't, instruments are hidden. See How to connect a trading account to Weltrade 2.0.

  • For a real account, you have enough funds to cover the margin.

Step 1. Find the instrument

1. Open the Trade tab.

2. Browse the categories or search by name or ticker, for example EUR/USD, XAU, or AAPL. The list of instruments depends on your account type.

3. Tap the instrument to open its card. Here you see:

  • The chart (1H, 1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y)

  • Bid and Ask prices and the spread

  • Whether the market is open

  • Swaps and the minimum volume

The Specification tab shows the contract size, volume step, minimum Stop loss / Take profit distance, and trading hours (in trading server time).

Step 2. Set up the order

1. Tap Long to buy or Short to sell.

2. Keep Market mode to open the trade at the current price. To open it later at a price you choose, use Pending instead.

3. Enter the volume in lots. The app shows the margin needed for this trade.

4. Optional: set an Exit strategy:

  • Take profit closes the trade when it reaches your target profit.

  • Stop loss limits your loss.

Step 3. Send the order

Swipe Slide to Long or Slide to Short. When the order is accepted, you see Order created.

Your trade appears in Home → Positions → Open.

If the order was not opened

If the order can't be opened, the app shows the reason from the trading server.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What is a market trade?

A market trade opens immediately at the current market price. To open a trade later at a price you choose, use a pending order.

What's the difference between Long and Short?

Long means you buy and expect the price to rise. Short means you sell and expect the price to fall.

Why can't I see any instruments on the Trade tab?

No connected trading account is selected. Select a trading account and connect it with its trading password.

Why are some instruments missing?

The list of instruments depends on your account type. See Account types overview in Weltrade 2.0.

What is the minimum volume I can trade?

It depends on the instrument. You can see the minimum volume on the instrument's card and the volume step in the Specification tab.

Do I have to set Stop loss and Take profit?

No. They're optional, but they help you manage risk by closing the trade automatically at the levels you set.

Where can I see my open trades?

In Home → Positions → Open.

Will I see my trade in the MetaTrader 5 terminal?

Yes. Trading in the app runs on Weltrade's MT5 server, so trades on your account also appear when you log in to the same account in the MetaTrader 5 terminal.

Why does my balance in the app differ slightly from MetaTrader 5?

Balance and profit in the app update once per second, so a figure can briefly differ from the terminal.
