Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of protection to your account. Weltrade uses the Google Authenticator app. Once 2FA is on, you need a fresh code from the app to log in, confirm withdrawals and change security settings.
How to turn on 2FA
1. On the Home screen, tap the profile icon.
2. Tap Security.
3. Tap Two-factor authorization.
4. If you don't have Google Authenticator, tap iOS or Android and install it.
5. Tap Add to authenticator app. Your account opens in Google Authenticator already filled in.
6. If you use another device, scan the QR code from it, or enter the 32-character key manually.
7. Tap Continue.
8. Open Google Authenticator and enter the 6-digit code it shows for Weltrade. The code refreshes every 30 seconds.
9. Tick I've saved a 32-digit key.
10. Tap Enable 2FA.
11. Enter the code sent to your email to confirm the activation, then tap Confirm.
After you turn on 2FA, you are logged out from all other devices. 2FA becomes your login confirmation method and your withdrawal verification method.
Warning. Never share your codes or the 32-character key with anyone, including people who say they are from Weltrade. The key changes each time you turn on 2FA, and after you turn 2FA off the old key stops working.
How to turn off 2FA
On the Home screen, tap the profile icon.
Tap Security.
Tap Two-factor authorization.
Tap Disable 2FA.
If Disable 2FA is greyed out, 2FA is still your withdrawal confirmation method. Change the withdrawal confirmation method first (see Withdrawal confirmation), then turn off 2FA.
Turning off 2FA does not affect your trading.
